I am very proud that she is able to talk about the situation, and to give a voice to all the girls who are going thro the same situation. It was absolutely horrible. But as she also states in the interview, that people can change. And I hope that Chris takes this opportunity to grow as a person, and to change his ways.

And I also find the timing of this interview a little suspicious. Her new album is dropping in a few weeks, and all of a sudden she feels ready to talk about the situation. What better publicity then using what people have been talking about for months now. Now even more people are talking about Rihanna, which more then likely will equal to more album sales.

Just my opinion.

i'm a caribbean girl and trust me rihanna hit chris brown first.and i can also tell you that its not the first time! were we are from when your man piss u off and you asking him about it and he not answering some times the women hit first …rihanna is a liar u can tell she is not even looking straight at the cam or the woman she talking to..she also keep laughing i couldn't understand why she was doing it.coming out to help abused victims is fine but she was not an abused person she got hit for hitting him.im not saying its ok for women to beat women but i hardly see rihanna as a role model to kids and young girls …walking almost naked and always showing her nipple rings are just trashy…i don't know who is advising her but they need to stop this shit.rihanna is embarassing the caribbean.we don't promote that kinda whoring behavior! if she loved chris brown like she say she does why is she trying to bury him! just let it go couldnt her record company come up with a better idea to sell records!!! and riri you need to go get ya dam head fixed you looking a hot mess all of a sudden. to think people used to compare her to beyonce rihanna lack class and i blame her mother! letting a 16 year old go to the concret jungle all alone with no body to say no to her and to guide her no wonder this shit happend! she needs to go back to barbados!

Did we all watch the same interview? What started all of this is she admittedly seen a text message on his phone and questioned him about it. Like she said he wanted her to drop it but she wouldnt. But the text message spoke for itself. And yes, she did back him up against the wall and he did not like it. Most lyers dont. I dont think she did this for publicity at all. She doesnt need to. She told Diane Sawyer that is was like she went to bed Rihanna and woke up Britney Spears. Why is that…she is at that fame level. People either will buy her album or not. Period. I think she wanted to speak out on her terms which she has done. And for someone who does not give interviews…thank you Rihanna. My daughter lovessss you dearly. And I am glad she seen you speak out on this. May God Bless your in life and in your career.

reading this made me cry…I know exactly how she feels now. granted, it wasn't my bf…it was my own father that beat me up when i was 16. i ended up at the hospital.

i hope he burns in hell.

it's true that you can't forget. you always get flashbacks and it's all you can do to stay still and not break down. it's the scariest part.
