I dunno, Perez… Sure, Michael Lohan is a douchebag, but his proposed actions are described in the alcohol and drug counseling business as "tough love". She isn't going to get help on her own, and YES, addicts do need to do it for themselves. You can lead a horse to water, you can't make him drink. You can lead it to water, though. Maybe it will drink. Okay, so his motives may be selfish, but it's better than him standing by watching her as she kills herself. Doing nothing would make him an enabler.
