Even if they couldn't do her own songs, they still could have done the show with songs like "Holiday," "Like A Virgin," "Material Girl," "Dress You Up" and "Papa Don't Preach," since she didn't write them.

uh….The catalog is owned solely by Warner Music Group, it was their decision, they do not have to ask her approval. In fact anyone can call WMG and ask to PAY for the rights to use her music they do not just GIVE them away Pink Panda..

Madonna has just had the most successful tour for any artist in the world and her new album sold 2 million in just 2 weeks, and is still number 1 in the charts after nearly 4 weeks!!! I'm glad you understand the workings of the music industry, but you DO know that many artists such as The Beatles, Michael Jackson, Neil Diamond, and even "Mooriah Cowie" have also let their back catalogue be used in a very popular TV called AMERICAN IDOL, a show that also has a profound effect on Itunes. This is not a brand new concept.

It is funny how people are quick to attack success! Madonna is and will always be a force to reckon with until she says im done! Don't these fat lambs, know that is not Madonna asking the show to buy her catalog but the other way around! Why? Because she is still pretty much relevant. Maybe not on the radio, but who gives a flying fck about radio nowadays! I don't ever listen to radio anymore. Charts! Please, joke! The future of music is in touring which I think Madonna has a handle on! and knowing how to broaden your music through different channels of the entertainment industry. Glee has been a force in Itunes since it hit the air. Madonna will make millions once the episode airs and people run to Itunes and download the songs. It's all about money and Madonna has always been the business woman that has made her who she is. Long live the Queen!
