I think that alanbrickman has made an excellent and very wise political statement. The UN uses celebrity to mask their nonsense. However; I think alanbrickman would be happy to read that UNICEF operates independently and thus is not subject to anti-seminist and anti-gay "under-mandates".

For the record and for the good of all that is decent and nice in this world, Orlando Bloom is not gay. He is also not homophobic in any way shape or form. He is not anti-semitist. My mother was a Jew and I observed some Jewish customs in our home. The home that Orlando and I blissfully shared. But seriously; have you not noticed how Jacob in Trailer Park Boys is deperately trying to make amends with Hughie "Julian" Jackman?? And looks like?? It is complicated. But; so far we are still waiting to find out who Robbie Williams is really in love with. And why won't Leo admit he shoots a mean arrow??

The Truth about Why Orlando Bloom chose UNICEF

It was a lovely fall night in Grand Valley, Ontario. October 31, 2006 to be precise. Johnny Depp was lurking outside in the shadows while his sons dressed as undead zombie golfer dudes. Orlando was inside encouraging Kali to calm down. Anya was getting into a costume also. And then Kali finally settled the little orange box where she wanted it. "What is THAT?" Orlando innocently asked, now revealing the truth; people don't trick or treat in England. Oopsie, poopsie. "It's a UNICEF box you idiot." The little princess was tiring of Orlando's constant questions. "What is it for?" Yes, she knew this was coming. She was ready. Hmmm. Orlando leaned closer. "People put money in this box. We send it to UNICEF. They feed starving children. Most of the kids in my school bring in half of their candy, too. We send it via the Maples Independent School to starving children. They get to eat it. Isn't that neat?"

Well done Orlando. Apology accepted. You are an idiot. Good thing you were willing to listen to the wisdom of a child. Now; the entire world will benefit. WHAT?? I don't watch many movies or television, oddly enough, but I haven't seen or heard about Bloom being in any sort of production recently and it's glad to hear that he's spending the time w/ good things like this..and he is super sexy as "annaBAMN" mentioned =P
