Gee, thanks for explaining all of that to us.
FYI, anyone who watches ET or reads EW already knows all of this.

It's Complicated and Sherlock Holmes are not Christmas-themed either, you idiots at Perezhilton.com. What does that have to do with it. Christmas movies draw in more ticket buyers and are closer to Oscar nominations. Chicago was a Christmas movie and it was about crime. Do any of you think before you type?

Oh Perez you just somehow "forget" to mention that FERGIE sings the main song in the trailer and is AMAZING and is getting mega accolades for singing! You should talk about bombs, your tour bombed!

I can honestly say I am thrilled about this move. It was supposed to come out the same weekend as New Moon, and would 100% been overshadowed by that lame excuse of a movie. The Christmas release boosts its HIGHLY LIKELY Oscar chance, and it could bring in more viewership. I am personally so excited, as it gives me the chills just watching the trailer! I love Nicole Kidman, so I don't think she's the reason so many movies have failed...I think it would be the choice and concept of the movies she's in. But this one looks like gold.

I am really not interested. It is being pegged as more of an art film. Not many people realize that the film companies have to pay for a films campaign for an Oscar run. It is all a very political process. The Weinstein Co. is almost in bankruptcy. My bet is they'll pay for "The Road" for an Oscar run. That's why this movie was moved and is going to be released in two days on the 18th against Avatar, and on the 25th against Sherlock Holmes, It's Complicated, Up in the Air, and The Lovely Bones. Nine doesn't have a chance and they know it. They have doomed it on both release dates. They will put all of their money behind, "The Road" for an Oscar run. Paramount moved Shutter Island so they can put all their money behind "Up in the Air" for their Oscar run. It cost money to get one of your films in the running - just like politics. After that the voting begins. It's all a process. I have a family member that works for Paramount - that's how they all roll. The Weinsteins' chose the movie they're backing. Nine isn't it. They've doomed it to failure. It is all kind of sad really. Makes you wonder who the other studios are paying to back.
