I think people who idolize movie stars probably don't quite understand how self centered they are, or become. If they are successful their lives are a constant round of talking about themselves, or drawing attention to themselves. In short everything they do revolves around "me". This has to have a weird effect on them in that they become fixated on themselves completely. The rest of the world is just "fandom" that is useful only to pay attention to them. No wonder so many go off the rails. Even the best become egonaniacs. The only fly in the ointment is what no one can avoid: accidents, bad health (cancer), addiction and death.

Dan APPEARS to be sweet and nice, etc. Only people who really know him can tell if that is true. At one time in the past he was clearly shy and yes, "sweet" and "nice", but he has grown up. Now he seems okay, far from the worst of professional actors, but no longer "sweet" or especially "nice". In interviews he seems pretty hard and calculating like most actors. And not shy at all. I think his fame has finally made him utterly self centered, as are probably most actors sooner or later, and self centered people are rarely really "sweet" or "nice".

I LAUGHED WHEN I SAW THIS. HE IS A REAL SICKO. THIS IS LIKE SAYING "I CARE ABOUT KIDS THAT SMOKE. KIDS THAT SMOKE ARE FOUR TIMES AS LIKELY TO DIE FROM LUNG CANCER AS KIDS THAT DONT. THEREFORE IM DONATING MONEY TO AN ORGANIZATION THAT PROMOTES AND ADVOCATES TEEN SMOKING". HE SHOWS HE CARES ABOUT "GAY" KIDS BY ENCOURAGING THAT SICK ASPECT OF THEIR LIVES? IF HE REALLY CARED AOUT KIDS HE WOULD GIVE MONEY TO AN ORGANIZATION THAT CURES HOMOSEXUAL BEHAVIOR
