DidRe: imsoregistered – Did I condone threatening? Did I say that we shouldn't respect the first amendment? Absolutely not. I said that people who say hateful things should get their comeuppance. Dissent and the privilege to say whatever we want in response is ALSO PART OF OUR FIRST AMENDMENT RIGHTS. The real issue at hand here is that America is legally discriminating against a large population of our people. Your god damn right I would be up in arms about this. My sister is gay and it makes me endlessly furious that she can't have the same rights that I enjoy.

How does one start a revolution, "imsoregistered"? by quietly saying that maybe Carrie should rethink her stance? Nothing has ever been accomplished by quiet rebuttals or respectful acceptance of her right to speak.

In my opinion, a supposed "role model" should never condone inequality. She doesn't deserve her title, she deserves the flack she gets.

Re: karby – BTW, I think it's also extremely appalling that you blame her reasoning for her words out of her mouth by being un-PC. It's even further sickening that not only are you saying that it's okay to beat down the rights of others and those that don't agree with you shouldn't be allowed to be humans too, but that you also blame it on some other absurd statements that she didn't have time to think. Why should she censor herself? She said her peace, said it's up to the people to decide and that's what the great part is.
