Hey they broke the law so too bad. Although, I do think some punishments are too severe in some countries...but it's THEIR country and they can make whatever laws they want.

It's so funny that Americans think that they can break everyone elses' law in this world, but God forbid it happens to them. Keep them where they are. Teach them a lesson.

i knew it, those two daft women knew exactly what they were doing. and now they expect the usa to get them out of the trouble they put themselves into? geez! i guess they thought they were above the law when they tried to sneak into north korea from china. way to go laura and euna to owe up to your mistakes, but you might consider that you might have to pay the price coz then every tom, dick, and mary will think they can do whatever they want in other countries and expect the usa to bail them out. not so!

Wow 2 American Asian women sneak across a border into North Korea during times of tension. Did anyone in their right and sane mind think this was a good idea. I am suprised they are being treated this well. Usually spies just disappear never to be heard from again

12 years in a labor camp is a pretty horrible thing to have to endure, especially in the prime of your life. I feel awful for them.

They need a Korean SEAL Bourne Identity type to bust them out in the dark of night. Too much screwing around using them as political footballs. They're not spies, they're young journalists.

I agree with the majority of the comments here. I don't feel the least bit sorry for these bitches. That Laura bitch ADMITTED that she and the other bitch entered North Korea illegally. Ok, we may not like how N. Korea runs their country, but that IS how they choose to run their country and it's your fault if you choose illegally enter the country. This is why so many Americans piss me off. They go to other countries with their (usually white) American privilege and feel that they are just immune to that country's laws. It's not right. You go to another country, you abide by their rules. If you don't, then sucks for you and you get what you deserve. Just like these two bitches.

12 years is a little harsh... i'd go crying to the government too if I were them! And of course America will try to bail them out! I'd say they learned their lesson at any rate.

Occasionally, one of your many typos can be quite humorous, Perez.

"Since no one has physically seen Laura or Euna, it is difficult to tell how they are olding up in prison."

Olding up in prison....Heh
