Plaskett is not only extremely talented but hilariously funny, humble and approachable. I love the fact that his music isn't overproduced….unlike so many artists today.

For those who are only using "Through and Through and Through" as judgment of Joel Plaskett's musical abilities, you really don't know what you're talking about now, do you?
I love Joel Plaskett, and even though he is from the Maritimes, the first time I heard of him was in a Zellers commercial with the song "Nowhere with You" (which is love by the way). If you're a Canadian and watch tv, odds are, you've heard of him you just don't know it yourself.
There's so much talent coming out of the Maritimes, you just got to wait and see.

Joel Plaskett is legendary. Sorry to the noobs who only know "Through and Through and Through".

From Thrush Hermit to the Emergency to his solo projects–the guy's been on the scene for like 15 years or more.

He's unique, and yeah, talented.

Joel Plaskett is my favourite artist! I love him!
I don't know how many times I've seen him in concert…most of the time its when he plays in Ottawa, but a few times out east too
His single is a pure slice of Canadiana, especially with the fishing boat and four wheeler!
Deny, Deny, Deny is my favourite off his new album

Well, I will tell you why Joel is not famous worldwide. His muzak is shallow. The guy consistently cannot write his way out of a soggy donair.
Absolutely no substance to anything he has done. His vocal twang has promise. Sort of a Petty, Dylan mix…but, so goes the other thousands of folk, indie worshiping struggling artists. His arrangements have opportunity too, but his delivery is a mockery..similar to the Barenaked Ladies who rose to the top and quickly fell off the grill cheese waffle iron. He does have a great ensemble of musicians. The guy just needs a great producer to tell him to smarten up ! Thus is the solution for most of the struggling indie artists out there…

#20 not bubblegumy , Folk…listen to Three and you will see, full of country,folk,rock goodness. Also as down to earth as they come and amazing entertainer go to a live show and you will not be disapointed, Joel Plaskett is a breath of fresh air to the entertainment industry.
