I think his issues are that if Twitter did this it would definitely put a huge spotlight on just how much of an asshat he's being online and it would encourage a lot of haters to join his page. BUT, he already has 2 million followers. I can't imagine each and every one of them loves him to pieces. Some must be following for the LULz.

I don't like the idea of a social networking site doing this to any of its members, though. Not too cool.

In summary, he was cute, he had a career on a good show, he got hot, he got Demi'd, a couple of step-kids, Bruce for a father-figure, and a couple of commericials…um….
No loss of any kind, whatsoever should he delete his account like he deleted his career.
He can donate his PC to charity, start some intensive drama training and wait ten years to replace Pierce Brosnan if his acting chops improve.
My crystal ball just confirmed.
