He has done nothing different than most college age kids have done. He is just a kid still afterall regardless of his medals and skill in the pool. He is also actiing like a typical ADD kid… they make stupid choices but don't we all?

Smoking weed is neither a mistake nor something to be ashamed of. First of all, he is the FASTEST PERSON IN THE WORLD in water. What does that say about the harmful effects of weed? It says they are negligible. Secondly, weed is only illegal because the government is full of racist bastards.

I'm not comparing drugs to being gay, I don't think it's okay to judge someone because of mistakes they've made or their lifestyle such as in being gay. I put that out there to compare the level of being judgemental towards a person or person becasue of what they have done or their life or their style.

I just think we all need to hold the mirror to our faces instead of always being critical and judging others becasue drugs, gay, a mean person, cuss too much whatever no one is PERFECT and we should try to teach and correct with love and respect and not forget about our own "skeletons" or flaws because we all got em!

Golden Boy or not he is HUMAN and is going to make mistakes. If everyones moves were in the public eye like his I'm sure they would fuck up a lot more than he has. Big deal, he took a bong hit, he DESERVES IT after winning all those gold medals. Give me a break, no one is perfect!

she shouldn't take the blame on herself. shoot, my parents raised me extremely well, with "morals" "values", they talked to me about safety, drugs, sex, how to be careful and safe. they covered all their bases….and you know what? I partied and smoked and drank all the same when i became a young adult. No matter how good of a parent she was, kids will be kids. It's certainly not her fault as a mother.
