We should be thankful the banks are sitting on that money. It's fiat printed money so once it is lent and it circulates into the money supply we will see massive inflation.

The truth is we used to be a nation who everyone came to borrow from now we are a debtor nation that goes around begging from everyone else. This nation has lived above it's means for a long time and now the bill is come due but the government is asking everyone else to "sacrifice". Everyone else is cutting back EXCEPT the government. The government, under the new admininstration just continues the same destructive policies that got us here. Borrow, print, spend, tax and repeat…the game remains the same, only the players have changed and the poor and middle class will be the ones to suffer when the dollar collapses.

Agreed. As the government becomes more desperate for money we will see more fascism. They are invading the privacy of American citizens and Swiss banks. They want to serialize ammunition. Put GPS in people's cars for the purpose of "tracking mileage" for taxation. New York has enacted over 100 new taxes to shore up their budget shortfall and that's NEW TAXES in addition to all the old taxes which they will be raising.

Re: Lady B. Good – #146. I don't listen to Rush at all! He is not a source that I rely on for news. I give most sides a chance and then decide what is best for me, my family, me neighbor and my country. I never gave Rush a 'chance' because of his hardcore addiction to painkillers; I penalize him for that. I believe that if you are a politician or in the media and representating others, you really 'work' for others; therefore, you need to have a squeaky clean background. Personally, I aspire to that idea and I am not in the eyes of the public! I want Obama to succeed because if he fails, we all fail, one way or another. If another country takes us down, it will more than likely be with a democratic president in office, not a republican. Right now as I write, I am convinced that Obama will be similar to Jimmy Carter as a president; Carter made very little impact. Too bad nowadays the presidency runs more like a popularity contest rather than how the president can genuinely help our country to remain strong and independent, and to be respected by other countries. My favorite president was Ronald Reagan as he was a genuine leader who commanded authority with integrity. He was the real deal…

Re: AlexPoland – OK Alex. I think you are probably a really decent person. Let's call it a draw and make nice. I am sorry you had problems early in life due to your health. I wouldn't wish that on anybody. Please believe me when I tell you that most conservatives are compassionate but we prefer to help people privately or through a church or organization than through taxes. I hope that things have worked out for you and that they will continue to do so. Please remember that before this age of "entitlement" (my husband hates that word) we were all told that nothing is free (somebody always pay for those who are not paying), nobody owes you anything, nobody will give you anything, if you want something you will have to work for it, and the world does not revolve around you. Dealing with several generations of people who think otherwise is not easy.

Re: SeekTruth – Hi SeekTruth. I agree with just about everything you said except that when it comes to Obama succeeding we part company. Obama is truly a Marxist who believes in the redistribution of wealth which will leave you and me high and dry. He took an oath to protect and defend the Constitution of the United States but, unfortunately, wants to change it at every opportunity. I agree with Rush when he says he wants Obama to fail only because if he succeeds in what he wants to do we will be living in a Communist state. I truly do not want to see that. It frightens me not only for myself but for my children and grandchildren.
