If you guys think that just by having a child that gives a woman the right to forever represent the man they had it with, even AFTER splitting up etc, then you have no problem with the woman in Perth who Heath allegedly had a child with when he was 17 to also go up to receive the award on behalf of their daughter, who is 11 years old now.

Why in the world would Matilda accept it… she is just a child. Exposing her to the world like that is just wrong.

I think there is no reason why Kim Ledger shouldnt accept it on Heaths behalf. Father and son share an inextricable bond. Granted, Michelle is the mother of their child but obviously their bond was somewhat damaged and I think its only fair his father do it.

OKay really, this "friend" is going there? First of all, the comment that she didn't have anything to do with the movie…..does that mean that every partner/spouse of every actor, that ever lived, should be cast aside if they were not physically a part o of the film? That has to be one of the stupidest comments I have ever seen.
Then again, his family seems a bit shady.
Wasn't Michelle still with him when he MADE the movie? Who knows what rumors are true,but I heard one go around that it was his dedication to the role that made them seperate….and that was supposedly going to be temporary. Regardless of what the truth of the state of their relationship is, Michelle is the MOTHER of his ONLY child. She absolutely has every right to be there as their child is too young to accept it.
And if the Ledgers really are going to be juvenile about it, why not have BOTH Michelle and Kim accept it on Heath and Matilda's behalves?

I think Michelle should be the one receiving the award with their daughter Matilda. I think that would be the appropriate & rightful thing to do!

I don't think Michelle Williams should accept the award on his behalf! That's just ridiculous, they weren't even together at the time.
Heath's father, Chris Nolan or Christian Bale are all better people to accept the award for him. I agree, put them in a hat and draw from those 3 men. NOT Michelle!

I think the parents should be the one to recieve it that is there son dispite everything. They lost there son and should do the honor. I am sure they see there grand daughter and when she is old enough they can pass it down to her. If it were your son would you like to accept it for him ask yourself?

OMG… it seems like the best thing Michelle ever did was have this mans kid lest she fade away into total obscurity. I don't think she should accept shit on Heaths behalf. Let it be his father or someone that was actually part of the movie. They were broken up for a year or more when he died… seriously… hate to be a hater but I dont want to see her.

Neither Michelle nor the father had anything to do with the movie. It would be good if both Michelle as well as Heath's father received the award if Heath does win of course.
