If we are talking about actors and actresses that have made a difference that's all well and good, but JANE GOODALL is NOT and has NEVER BEEN an actress - she is a primatologist and an anthropologist. Yes…she is also a UN Messenger of Peace…but if you are going to name her, why not a few zillion others who have spent their days helping others?!!!!

Perez you finally got something right - this is who you should be praising instead of that sluttegina Jolie who is just a media whore - Charlize is a class act and has done more good without asking for millions in return - she has more acting ability than alot of other actresses out there - we want more Charlize!!! Love her -

Re: hotel283 – Charlize is South African and has been through a lot herself. She wasn't fed with a silver spoon you know like most of these celebs. You shouldn't knock her for trying to help especially considering she has bene helping for such a long time even before she was super famous. She has been setting up health clinics in her home in South Africa and been involved in many charities and organizations for many years. Some celebs may do it for PR, but you can't assume all of them do. THe UN saw the stuff Charlize was doing for years without begging for press the way Angelina does, and they asked her to be a spokesperson and she accepted. What do you expect her to turn it down? She's been through a lot in her life and wants to give back. She's not a publicity whore the way Angelina Jolie is.

Now see Perez THIS is who you should be writing more about she is far more beautiful and talented than your Angelina and you should love her because she's been so outspoken about gay rights. She is a class act. And she's not one of those celebs jumping on a bandwagon. Charlize starred in an anti rape africa psa back in the 90s before she was famous. She's been an activist for a long time. She's perfect for this platform because when she was 15 she saw her mother shoot her alcoholic father in self defense.She's such a strong woman to come through all that. Look at trainwrecks like Britney Spears and Lindsay Lohan, Theron has been through much worse and she handles herself with such class and dignity. The most beautiful woman in hollywood and her performance in Monster is one of the best of all time.
