OK so which one of you geniuses knows for sure whether or not they had reached V1, or whether or not the squat switches were damaged as the tires blew in effect disabling or rendering the brakes completely useless. Takeoff is one the most critical phases of flight and pilots drill and are trained relentlessly to prepare for the possibility of a mishap at decision speed. Be they airline pilots, or charter pilots. Really easy for armchair "experts" to dump on a couple of dead pilots.

No, actually, what sucks is that people died as a result of proper procedure not being followed.

pilot error...if they where already at 100, take off speed is 115-130 depending on load. would have been better to get air, circle round and perform a controlled crash landing after the crash trucks had foamed the runway...then they would not have run out of runway, and crashed through a wall...sad though that a simple error in judgement cost so much...

It's sad that a lot of private pilots don't receive the kind of training that commercial and military pilots get. Would have saved 4 lives that day.

Um....aren't they supposed to do an extensive pre-flight check on these sorts of things?
What kind of discount flight was this. I notice the tires on my car and I am not flying thru the air in it.......well maybe sometimes.
Maybe it's a good thing that this pilot is no longer around. She really sucked at her job!
