[re=3009933]Re: AmberS[/re] I completely agree with everything you said. It's unfortunate that the media is able to bash who they wish to portray as the "bad guy" and leave Obama's bad qualities to a minimum in the papers. How often do you see Obama's mistaken remarks blown out of proportion. None too frequently. Liberal media perhaps?

well regardless he still has little to no experience and is NOT QUALIFIED to be president... Even Joe Biden said so in the primaries before he was chosen as obamas runningmate!!

She didn't mean that D.C. wasn't pro-America, she was saying that the towns she was visiting were very proud to be American. She shouldn't have said it in that way to seem like she was making a distinction... she was simply giving the small towns a compliment and people like to grill her over the fire for every small freaking comment.

Try doing the same for Obama for once. He said in an interview he wanted to visit all 57 states... 57 states, huh? There are 57 Islamic states. Notice how that wasn't newsworthy, yet every detail of Sarah Palin' life is all the way down to her bra size.

[re=3010962]Re: mamajud[/re] Ya... I guess we're just lucky. Hubby has a great plan through his employer. I am self-employed and if it weren't for him I wouldn't even be able to obtain a policy due to a preexisting condition. Also, California is a major hub for healthcare plan headquarters in the Sacramento area, and they have been pushing for years for affordable health care for all Californians. Maybe it's a state thing? Dunno. Sorry to hear yours is so damn expensive! That sucks!!!

Really? I have a family of five in California and my health insurance is 3800/year. Why is yours so expensive?

I'm not hear (at least today) to scream and holler about McCain/Palin - I'm hoing to only present the straight forward facts - and folks then have the right to make their own choices.
-
Yes, the U.S. is the only industralized nation to have have universal health care. But neither McCain or Obama is attempting that.
-
My concern: For me to keep similar health insurance as an indiviudal that I have now with my company would cost me $800/month (I checked).
-
So, will cost me 9,600 per year.
-
As a single person, McCain will give me 2,500 per year. That is taxed at 33%, so I will get a net of 1,650 per year.
-
I get $1,650 a year under McCain -- and it will cost me $9,600 a year.
-
Pretty simple -- I won't have health insurance anymore.
-
I think the situation is far graver for families, and it terrifies me.
