That's because he was secure with the Republican's "core membership", which is the the Christian Network, because he already offered them roe v. wade (which has been law for 35 years, and I don't recall any recent public concern about changing it…which is a joke anyway, because McCain in giving the Christians the promise of roe v. wade, and then he will dump the problem and the costs onto each of the individual states).

The only reason McCain chose Palin, was to try and lure the vote of the Hilary Clinton supporters that were disgruntled when Obama chose Biden. It kind of backfired though, because they were supporting Hilary for her politics, not for her gender.

Have you heard McCain, Obama and Biden on these topics..I think they are all clueless, this is a disaster that no one has even been in and polictians/govt and these financial industries are all to blame, it has taken more than 8 years to get here, and I think both sides of the fence have a lot of explaining to do…to me this interview means nothing….

omg!!! unfortunately i didn't get a chance to see the whole interview on tv, but i've been able to catch some bits like this from various sources. can there be any doubt that this woman is completely out of her league? she's spent a month studying the issues and preparing for interviews like this and this is the best that she can do? she's a disaster! she's such an obvious mouthpiece. she's just parroting empty slogans and general opinions. everytime she's pushed to back up her claims with more specifics, she just falls back on the same old vacuous, memorized statement. she can't avoid the press forever. bidan's going to destroy her in the vp debate. keep it up, sarah! the more you talk, the more people will see that you're just an empty suit!
