I remember when the Kerry supporters talked much like this back when he was running..

McCain didn't need a boost BTW. And I guess McCain was a good guy when the left were using him as a shill against Bush in 2004, and when "Yeah, that's the ticket" Biden told Kerry to ask McCain to be his VP, Biden thought that McCain wasn't presidential material
