Cool? No no no no no . . . . this is complete bullshit. I adore Gwen to the ends of the Earth, but this naming her kids after Jamaican culture is just stupid. Kingston was dumb enough, but to do it twice? I know Gwen recorded her last album in Jamaica, but she is a white girl from Orange County. And her husband is a white guy from the UK. Now there was a very big surge of ska music in the UK among the punk/skin head scene in the 70s, but Kingston and Zuma Nesta? If she is so into reggae and ska, couldn't she think of someone other to name her kid after? Bob Marley - great guy - overplayed by millions. How about Prince Buster - whose real name was Cecil Bustamente Campbell? Bustamente would have been bad ass; the could have called him Buster Rossdale. Toots Hibbert - (Frederick Nathaniel Hibbert)? Coxsone Dodd (who just died) - Clement Seymour? Burning Spear - (Winston Rodney)? Or Ras Michael, Delroy Wilson, Horace Andy and Sugar Minott? And I am a white girl from Georgia who seems to know a lot more about Jamaican culture that the Rossdales. And that right there is sad. Gwen - if you have any more kids (and I hope you are one day blessed with a baby girl), please dive a little deeper if you decide you have to go the reggae route. Naming you kids is not like naming your 'Rock Steady' album.

Yeah I love kingston's name. I will name my son kingston as well. Better to be different than have another Dave, Mike, or Jonathon in the world. Those boys will always stand out.
