Why do you think uniting is a bad thing?Amy Brennenman and others are trying their best to prevent another crippling strike.They are not traitors, they are trying to save this industry.Amy Brennamen is one of the smartest people in Hollywood.This is a good thing.There needs to be some change because the people presently at the top do not seem to want to negotiate. I hope this is settled because the TV crews do not deserve this. Adam Arkin is amazing and brilliant. From what I've heard, Kate Walsh is a doll (not a traitor-that's Katie Hi-Gul). I hope this works.

Trout is totally right! The "actors" that are in power are hardly a "voice of the masses". The majority of them are out-of-work-actors. The two unions NEED to merge and have a united front. All of this in-fighting (which is really what it is- AFTRA ans SAG are all actors and they're all fighting for the same rights) This rift started back in 2000 during the Commercial Strike… get the eff over the BS and stand together to get what you deserve.

I couldn't care any less than I do about actors and their unions. What I don't understand is how lousy Kate Walsh looks in that pic. She looks like a cross between Cruella McCain and Scary Messica Barker.

Renee Aubry 7 credits last one 1979
Angel Tompkins last credit 1992
Sumi Haru 6 credits last one 1979
Nancy Sinatra last acting credit in 1968

How can these people represent actors that actually work?
Or Jenny Worman, 4 credits, all in this century bless her, all with names like "woman in audience", what does she know? What experience does she have from being an extra 4 times?

Re: Geoff – geoff, u obviously don't know any working actors or what it takes to actually be successful at it. choosing acting instead of a steady "normal american job" is a huge risk and only the best make it. there's a reason they make what they do..not just anyone can be great at it or morons like you would be doing it too. please don't post things you don't know anything about. the actors are fighting for the same types of things would at your job: fair compensation for your trade. PERIOD. the problems with SAG internally has to do with political splits and egos. imagine someone came & screwed with your well-being and caused you to stop working for their personal cause? you'd try anything in your power to keep the strike from happening. actors and their families have mouths to feed, including their co-workers who are on production,:assistants, makeup artists, drivers, security, kraft services, etc…
