Elle and Vogue both suck. Joe Zee is a lame stylist who can only do stubby celebreties. American Vogue is stuck in a horribly boring rut and will stay there until Anna is ousted. Try French and Italian Vogue or V magazine for good fashion editorials.

Once a devoted Vogue reader, I am now an Elle girl. Vogue is dated and boring whereas Elle is fresh, up-to-date and versatile. It appeals to a younger, more diverse crowd while staying true to the real, sophisticated fashionistas out there.

Interesting to see those numbers. I recently canceled my own subscription to Vogue and subscribed to Elle instead because, as others have said, Vogue feels very old and stuffy these days (don't know what happened to it; I adored it five years ago) while Elle feels fresh and relatable. Obviously, Vogue still sets the bar fashion-wise, but if they want this reader back they should write more articles we young, forward-thinking women can relate to and less about socialites with whom I can't identify at all.

elle is less stuffy than vogue and has more articles that younger people want to read. vogue even managed to make kate moss look like an upitty socialica on their aug cover.

Magazine revenue is all about amount of advertising content rather than circulation. That's why these mags are just about all ads. Even articles which seem to be genuine on the surface usually reveal themselves to be ads in disguise, hence the coining of the term "advertorial". How stating my opinion on fashion mags (even if it differs from yours) turns me into an ugly, cruel, tacky bitch is beyond me. Maybe you need to look at yourself and work out why you need to insult a person merely for expressing an opinion. Calling me "ugly" is predictable, and ridiculous when you don't even know what I look like! I'm surprised you didn't say I was fat as well. "Cruel" doesn't even make sense. Oh, I'm so hurt!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! lol

I love VOGUE. It's the only magazine I'll buy and keep. It's the only fashion magazine with any literary, cultural, and fashion merit. I love it and Anna.

I used to work in ad sales at Vogue and many times advertisers would complain quietly that Vogue looked boring and old and the same but we were told to just force them to buy a page because it was vogue.
I'm glad the industry is finally standing up to vogue and anna and saying outloud that it's awful and oldlady and lazy. Its time for a change.
And Elle has never looked more fresh and interesting and different. I don't work at Vogue or Elle but you can guess which one I subscribe to.
