I also have coached (as a volunteer-- meaning NOT GETTING PAID) the Special Olympics Swim Team for six years and started a NPO geared towards helping people with special needs at the age of 16. I do all of that while still attending law school so that I can one day represent special needs people in court cases pro-bono. Now- I know some may disagree, but I know as a fact I'm a damn good person... but remember--- I SMOKE! Katherine Heigl is incredibly intelligent and even more strange- REAL. She doesn't bullshit, and she doesn't pretend to be anyone she's not. She had some big blowout deal (thanks media) about her wanting more pay... She actually just wanted the same amount of pay as her co-workers who were doing the exact same thing as herself. I see nothing wrong in this. If two people start off working at the same time and do the exact same thing, I would hope that the two people would have equal wages. It honestly seems like she's just getting slammed because she's so "un-hollywood." She doesn't lie through her teeth. She doesn't pretend to be perfect when she knows she's not. She's intelligent.
