I want to say to anyone who hasn't seen this movie - DON'T. It sucked. It just reworked story lines from the previous three movies and had no original story of its own. Karen Allen just stands there thru the whole movie. She has no good dialogue even. And 25 years later she still has the same hairdo!!!! In typical George Lucas fashion, just a lot of explosions. WHY DIDN'T THEY LEAVE THE ENTIRE PROJECT TO STEVEN SPIELBERG? HE'S THE REAL GENIUS, NOT LUCAS. There was no character development, nothing. Boring.

This is coming from a diehard Indy fan too. I was half expecting Obi Wan Kenobi to pop out of a space ship and challenge Indy to a duel. ALIENS? REALLY? ARE YOU FUCKING SERIOUS? i understand where you are coming from, i too watched the originals as a kid too but it seriously lacked the simplicity that people have grown to love. the classic one liners, dare i say occational cheesiness, but most importantly, it lacked a plausible story line! instead of the whole alien crap, they could have done something related to the myan gods or something on a more plausible level! the conclusion was just terrible in my opinion havent we seen enough aliens already?! that, more than shia as a sudden monkey whisperer, bothered me more than anything else and i was sorely disappointed with this one and it sounds like it stems from lucas alone…
