I'm a strong supporter of marijuana, but it gets a bad rap.
I'd love for it to become legal, but the problem lies with people who abuse it; ie., drinking alcohol and smoking the 'chem' drugs (meth/crack) along with it,
as this can seriously lessen the effects and render the user mentally or physically suffering from a difficult chemical imbalance.
That said, herb alone can be magnificent, either for fun or its healing properties.
I have fibromyalgia, (a sleep disorder/muscle fatigue syndrome) and without the wonders of cannabis, I'd never sleep at night.

Re: erica – you are exactly the reason people would have a problem with it, because it is associated with other drugs like cocaine, as you just have!! the problem with legalizing it is, it would be much more expensive for anything good, the cheap and more affordable (undergroung illegal) stuff, will be made badly and be more likely to mess you up!! oh and opium which is used in heroin is also a plant, some of the most deadly magic mushrooms are also naturally grown, so the plant argument really dosent hold it.
