Re: brittany – If American government wasn't supposed to support a religion then why, in the Flag Salute, does it say "One Nation, under GOD"? I think it's self explanatory. Our American government was made under the Bible, we are a Christian government and should make our laws fit that description. I have nothing against gays, I just don't think they should get married.

Its nice when some judges think they speak for the rest of CA and overturn something that was decided BY THE PEOPLE. Right or Not right the people voted for that ban, so because a few want aren't happy with the outcome they get some judges to turn over WHAT THE PEOPLE VOTED FOR. Don't get too comfortable with this i'm sure our next President (McCain) will give the state back to the people. I dont understand why you just cant call it a Union, marriages are by God between a Man and a Woman you can have all the same benefits under a Union.

cuz GOD didnt want wife and wife or husband and husband..
she wants husband and wife!!!

Great news but this isnt europe or even south america we have a huge hateful republcian and rightwing white trash base of ignorant hateful people and this battle has just begun.and when you throw in the homophobia ingrained in the black culture and new latino imigrants we are in for more gay bashing for years.,The only thing that is changing is that the younger generation of people are much less bigoted to gays and more humane so there will be gay marriage but a few bigoted generations will need to die off first and history wont be kid to the bigots,because as much as some of the lowlives try to hide behind religon they are bigots and God is watching.

This is WONDERFUL news! Homosexuals deserve the same rights as everyone else.
To all the haters, one questions.. Who are they hurting by getting married? How does this honestly affect YOU?
In response to "blah's" comment, you said yourself you thank mother nature that you were BORN straight, well what about those who were born gay? Why shouldn't they enjoy marriage too? Why shouldn't they be together?

that is the gayest news i've ever heard, are women no good enough for men? or men not good enough for women? thank mother nature that i'm born straight, i can't live without women. it not about rights or not, at the first place, the same sex ain't suppose to get toether, then if gays got the right, then the straights should get the right to ban gay marriages, let's start a protest to protect us straights from these freaks of nature.
