Sometimes, after these 'charities' take their operating costs [read: car payment, eats, etc] they have little left to give to the cause. I would just donate to the American Cancer Society or St Jude's Hospital. They're legit and champion the same cause.

People, if you really want to give to a children's charity, give directly to a children's hospital in your area, one of the many pediatric research organizations, the Children's Miracle Network, or Make-A-Wish, all organizations which help sick children AND their families, and don't waste their donations. You can also donate to your local food bank, there are many hungry children in America, through no fault of their own.
