Quick economic lesson on why the $.18 gas tax repeal won't work: When supply is fixed, demand will usually set the price at the efficient level. Once you lower the price, the demand will increase, but the supply will stay the change. This means as demand increases, so will the price. In the end the gas prices will just go right back up to the same level, if not higher. The only way to cut gas prices will be to increase supply or find alternative sources. I was all for repealing the tax until I thought about it from an economic sense. Gas is actually $.10 cheaper here this week.
