But in several interviews Tolkien envisioned his Middle Earth universe expanding. He wrote the beginnings of Children of Huron and other books like Farmer Giles of Ham. There's a lot more to his writings than LoTR, and if the director uses the broader view of Tolkien's work to create a movie...I'll love it.
