while i'm thoroughly embarassed by this, cut FAU some slack. it gets a bad rep, but in my experiences, many universities are dumbing down because they're businesses first, institutions of learning second. that said, FAU's biology department has some awesome and incredibly intelligent people. those of you who treat it as the shit school, come find out what kind of kick ass research is going on in the science departments. then go back to your liberal arts program at your "real" school and pretend to be smug while some hard working people at FAU are trying to make a difference with their education.

Hey Genius #199. What she obviously meant is that next year FAU is combining with UM and opening up a hospital, with obvious increased importance on a PhD program for doctors. Stupid girl. Were happy your not in Florida anymore.

#143— You're not helping your cause. FAU has had PhD programs for almost a decade now. I was in one for a year, then found out what total crap it was to be on the fastest growing campus in terms of enrollment in the country…. with no effort being made to build infrastructure to keep up.

Wonder if the campus still looks and feels like a prison…..

Still, it's a four year state school with good programs. All the ridiculousness on this post reminds me why I left FLA…..
