Factory farming the #1 source of greenhouse gas emissions and it is the #1 source of water pollution. Factory farming can't be eco friendly and how do you stop cows from farting and needing acres of clearcut land and tons of water. Then there's the pollution from their shit. All the cheeseburgers fat Americans eat ( 3 a week!!!!!) is worse than the SUVs and this is a fact ! Obese fatties in the US need to go vegetarian for health and the environment. You too Perez.

I would like to see some statistics on this because people have been raising cattle, etc. for thousands of years and it's a little hard for me to believe that it has had more of an effect on the enviroment than oil and carbon emissions…

Total Vegan here and proud of it. Lost 10 pounds just by cutting out meat. Lost a few more when dairy was gone. My BP is normal, my cholesterol is fabulous, I feel great and the food is awesome. I DO NOT MISS MEAT. I read recently that the feed lots contribute more to global warming than we are told because the meat and dairy industries keep it quiet. Visit a feed lot just once and see if you can still eat meat. The burger you eat today was standing in its one shit in a mud and feces caked fenced area with no room to move just last week. Literally they are packed in face to ass. They process them quick because in those conditions they get sick really easy and really fast. They dont eat grass instead they eat other cows, growth hormones and chemicals. Sometimes they just feed them heated garbage! Gag! No wonder eveyone in the US looks like a cow. They eat bovine growth hormones and garbage just like those poor cows do. I cannot understand why Americans think it is gross to eat a horse or a dog but will eat a baby cow.
