When People Magazine interviewed Paramount Chief, Sumner Redstone, if Paramount really did fire Tom Cruise as many media outlets continue to report, here is what the Paramount Chief said: You can find this on People.com.

But Redstone told PEOPLE on Thursday he was "surprised" by the way his comments were interpreted.
"I didn't know anything was going to be so explosive," he said. "What happened was, I just gave an interview to the Wall Street Journal. In the course of it, they asked me what was going on. I said, you know, he would no longer be in the lot. They treated that like I was firing him. I didn't fire him! I had nothing to do with it. But they treated it explosively. And I didn't like it."

Is Cruise crawling back to Sumner? Could it be because the Valkyrie goss is pointing toward another horrible career move? Could it be that there is about to be a HUGE revelation about Tom's (a) sexuality or lack of it (b) real activities in the Celebrity Centre and (c) shady maneuvers in his marriage? Or all three? Does he hope Sumner can protect him? Or is his ginormous ego so over-inflated that he believes HE is doing Redstone a "favor" by deigning to have lunch with him?
