Like everyone else said, the survival rate is ually less than a year. Yes there are a FEW who live longer like Randy Pausch...but it won't be much longer. PC is always fatal. Not nearly always, always. I am so sad to see the news and wish Patrick and his family lots of love and God bless. I too, would not wish this on my worst enemy. My mother lived a healthy lifestyle, execrised, ate well, never smoked and no related illnesses prior to her diagnosis. She was dead within 6 months after her diagnosis - and my maternal aunt lived with hers for even less time.
