But overall she simply has not been a very nice person: - totally trashed her biological dad in her autobiography, hardly acknowledged him but had nothing but good things to say about her adoptive racist stepfather - got pregnant out of wedlock and gave birth to daughter Patti "2 months prematurely," even though Patti was clearly a full term baby - totally rejected and shoved aside her stepchildren, Maureen and Michael (Reagan's kids from his first marriage) while lavishing all favoritism on her favorite kid, Ron Jr. - was addicted to pain medications in the 60s and 70s The one good thing she has done lately is support stem cell research so diseases like Alzheimer's can be cured. I could go on about her not-so great traits but many people have already mentioned her other shortcomings.
