I find the idea of people putting things like squid, octopus, and snails in their mouths, but lots of the so called aristocrats do that every day. Quityerbitchin, tastes vary, don't knock squirrel until you've tried it.

Gimmie a break!!! I've lived in the deep south all my life and I won't eat squirrel or possum or sushi…nothing wrong with it I just don't like it. When you consider some of the wierd stuff they put on pizza's in California, insects on tortillas in Mexico, and eating bats in Thailand, well there are more things to worry about than rats with bushy tails. My hillbilly family cooks squirrel and other woodland things every year for the fam-damnily reunion. Just a country thing- ain't nothin wrong with it. I don't care for it, but whatever floats your boat. At least he is helping with the circle of nature.

I would reluctantly eat squirrel if I had no other food to eat and was five minutes away from dieing from starvation…but only if I could cut off my tongue first so I couldn't taste the poor critter.
