The one time she was able to pull that Brit-girl-done-good act would have been the Brits when she was clearly on planet Joss, and I guess a lot of media who rated her when she was promoting the first album and the "Brit abroad" ident couldn't get with the massive jump to diva international when they'd seen nothing in between to justify it. I guess it's difficult for her in terms of fitting into British music buying market compared to the American market, but I guess people find it hard to identify where she's going as an artist and how she fits in when she' up against "tru- Blu Brits" like Amy Wino, KT Tunstall and Lily Allen.
