I'm hispanic and have never liked Ms. Estefan's singing. Even when she was young her voice was squeezed out of sheer force. Her husband is known for having said that he can make a singer out of ANYBODY. They have money by the truckloads thanks to you people who support them. Not I. I do NOT hate her as she seems to be a nice lady, but it's time to hang up the sequin dresses.

Re: GloriaFan – The Untied States does need to establish an official language as you have stated South and Central America have officially established Spanish and Portuguese. We can not run a counrty with two different languages where people are unable to communicate and understand one another.
Gloria is an true professional entertainer (no lip stinking antics and multilingual to boot; a real charm) I especially admire her for not quitting after her awful accident and pulling through so strongly and better than ever.

For everyone's information, this clip was taken from a recent concert at the Plaza de Toros (a bull ring where they hold many concerts, I saw Ricky Martin here in 2000 when I lived there) in Madrid, Spain. I believe someone asked if she can sing in English? Um, several of her albums ARE in English, dumbass. And as for singing in Spanish, well, she is in Spain, and even if she wasn't, who gives a fuck? Her songs in Spanish are twelve times better than any trash put out these days in English. She writes her own music, her songs actually use live instruments and *gasp* she doesn't lip synch!

Gloria is a true artist in every sense of the word, along with being a great humanitarian, mother, and wife.

P.S. The United States doesn't even have an official language, so I find it funny when people say "Speak English, this is America" since No. 1. there is no official language in the US (since they say "America" to try to refer to the US only) and No. 2. America DOES in include Central and South America (where the languages of Spanish and Portuguese are official depending on the country), idiots, along with the US and Canada. Get a fucking map and go educate yourself.
