Prince is a fuckin' loser! Nobody cares about him and his music anymore.How many hit songs has he had in the last decade?? His fans are delusional.Prince is OVER.His albums don't sell,which is why he has to give his CDs away free.The video channels couldn't care less about Prince and his shitty music videos.Heck,they don't even talk about Prince in the tabloids anymore.Why? Because nobody cares about him anymore! It's a good thing that his two ex-wives have dumped him.I couldn't imagine being married to a feminine-looking midget who wears bigger high heels than me.I couldn't imagine being married to a scrawny,skeletal creature with pale skin.I couldn't imagine being married to a control freak who wears more make-up than I do.I couldn't imagine being married to a black guy who doesn't even want to be black.

Prince is an antique from the 80s....a dusty,aging piece of junk that you stick in the basement and forget about.Thank God that the world has come to their senses and rejected this idiot.

As for those who think Prince is a "has-been", look at the facts: He's had a somewhat prolific stream of music in the past 10 years, the best-selling tour of 2004, an album that debuted at #1 in 2006, an impressive Superbowl performance that was hailed as the "best halftime show ever" by scores of people on the Web, an album giveaway that boosted The Daily Mail's sales by a couple hundred thousand copies, and a 20-night run in London that broke sales records.

If that's being a "has-been", then I want to be a "has-been" too.

Let's see how many of your favorite artists of today will still be around in 5, 10, or better yet 30 years after their debut album. There was a time when the likes of Vanilla Ice and Color Me Badd were outselling Prince. Where are they now?

And if Prince's sound is so "outdated", why is it that Justin Timberlake has managed to sell 3 million copies of an album that blatatly copies (and at times even plagiarizes) Prince's sound of 20+ years ago?

The complaints about Metallica's taking on Napster expose the real problem here: The Internet has made file sharing so commonplace that people now think that they're somehow entitled to songs and other copyrighted material for free. So when someone pulls the plug on material that people didn't legally have access to begin with there's a backlash against the artist.

Why would you boycott Metallica for removing their songs from Napster? Why should anyone feel entitled to their music for free when it's copyrighted and, as such, protected by law?

I downloaded quite a bit of material from Napster when it was free. When it was shut down, I was bummed out, but I wasn't angry because, in all fairness, I knew that songs weren't meant to be shared for free. I mean, I wouldn't rig my house to get free cable and then boycott the cable company years later when they cut me off.

Having said that, I can understand Prince wanting to rid YouTube of bootleg material, but I think having all those old videos up there does him more good than harm. MTV doesn't play videos anymore--much less Prince's videos.

Music videos, after all, were meant to be promotional, and they can serve Prince well, in that respect, on YouTube.

But the bottom line is that music videos are copyrighted, and it’s ultimately Prince's right to pull the videos if he so chooses.

how are they supposed to make money if they give away the music and vids for free... that way they have no money to make them... people aren't really thinking this through before commenting. Prince is right.

Its a shame but we shouldn't criticize him too much as hes a great artist and so talented musically, after going to his gigs you can't say anything bad about him, hes the ultimate show man. Fair enough if he doesn't like this. He pays for vids to be made, so release them on DVD if you don't want us seeing them for free :)

[re=542075]Re: MaryMary[/re]

And as I said before, yes his music is outdated because he makes actual music which is something this new generation knows nothing about. Now, if you don't listen to shit hop, but the music you listen to is not outdated, then what exactly are you listening to. The only other thing I hear all over the radio is all that slow ass dull shit. I mean has everyone lost all their sense of rhythm these days. What's the problem with them. Speed the fucking tempo up and start throwing down.

I like funk honey. Hard, uptempo, jamming funk and Prince is the ONLY one that still delivers that these days. Yeah, it's outdated, it's actual music.

As for Prince mistreating his fans, well, I've never met him. How can you mistreat someone you've never met? Yeah, he's a control freak. He's a star. Real stars always want special treatment.

As for the homophobic remarks, as I said before, if you are tired of homosexuality being shoved down your throat, then bend over and let us shove it up your ass. Homosexuality is a compliment, not an insult.
